ACU's 106th Summit Coming to a Close

Abilene Christian University's 106th Summit kicked off on Sunday, Sept. 16, with the theme "Intimacy: Return to God."
This year's four-day event focused on the story of the prophet Hosea who was commanded by God to marry a prostitute.
The theme discusses the need to return to intimacy with God in a world that constantly distracts and works to draw Christians away from God.
Coordinated since 2007 by Dr. Brady Bryce, ACU director of ministry events, Summit's 2012 theme is meant to challenge Christian perspective. "We struggle in our intimacy with God because we don't always desire intimacy with Him. We want God to bless us and bless the other things we are intimate with," says Bryce.
There are still classes available for those interested in attending. For a look at the final day's schedule, go to http://www.acu.edu/academics/cbs/centers-services/ministryevents/summit/schedule/.
