With school back in session, sports injuries are likely to increase; not just for kids but for moms as well.

Abilene Regional Medical Center's Healthy Woman program is hosting a sports injury seminar on Tuesday, September 18.

The free seminar will be held at ARMC's Women's Center from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and will feature presentations by Samuel Maroney, D.O. Orthopedic Surgery, Shelley Bruton, D.P.M. Podiatry and Andy Burton, P.T. Director of Rehab Services.

This informative presentation will teach female athletes and moms of student athletes how to recognize common injury symptoms, select appropriate footwear and perform sports injury preventative exercises.

Healthy Woman is a free program offered by Abilene Regional Medical Center that is designed to provide women with the information they need to make informed healthcare decisions.

For more information contact Healthy Woman and Marketing Coordinator, Amanda Maikranz.
