Grace Museum Welcomes Three New Exhibits

If you're a fan of the Historic Grace Museum in downtown Abilene, there are a few new sites and educational experiences awaiting your visit this weekend.

The first is called "Wild Things" and features two artists who specialize in both paintings and sculptures. The Grace Museum's Emerald Cardenas describes what to expect.

"A lot of vivid colors. This one would be great for families and kids."

"Wild Things" also features many different animals and flowers.

The second new addition focuses more on the photography side of art with work by David Gibson.

"These pictures are amazing," says Cardenas. "Photographs are of nature and are very quiet photographs. If you enjoy photography, you'll enjoy that gallery."

Last but not least is "Texas Impressionism" which comes to the Big Country all the way from the Panhandle Plains museum which over a hundred different paintings.

The kick off party to officially welcome the new exhibits will be Friday, September 21st at the Grace. There will be wine and a few other refreshments available as well starting at 5:30 p.m.
