Update: Coleman County Remains Confirmed as Missing Brownwood Woman

An autopsy has confirmed the body found in Coleman County on Monday is that of a missing Brownwood woman.
Michele Reiter was reported missing on September 11.

At 10:30 Wednesday morning, Brownwood police stated that the preliminary autopsy results confirmed the identity of the body.
A cause and manner of death have not yet been determined and police say they're not releasing any more information at this time because of the ongoing investigation.

At approximately 10:30 a.m. Monday morning, the remains of a female fitting the description of a missing Brownwood woman were discovered in a remote area of Coleman County.
At this time, officials do believe the remains to be those of Michele Reiter, who disappeared from Brownwood around September 11, but confirmation will have to be made at autopsy.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner's office will conduct the autopsy that will determine for certain if the remains do belong to Reiter.
At this time, there is no cause or manner of death determined,
The Texas Rangers have been put in charge of the crime scene and the investigation is ongoing.
More information will be provided upon release.
