Updated: September 26, 2012
The second annual Bill's BBQ Bash benefiting the Merkel Volunteer Fire Department will be held Saturday, October 13 near I-20 exit 270 in Merkel.

"This is a real bash," says Chelsea Ely spokesperson, "and will help a really good organization that is essential to our community."

There are plenty of activities including a cook-off with prizes, a silent auction, gun raffle and live music by Zach Harmon and Moneyshot.

Organizers ask for a $20 donation to enter the grounds and remind everyone not to bring bottles or other glass containers.

Bill's BBQ Bash begins at 3PM.
