McMurry Head Coach Hal Mumme's team opened the updated Moore Stadium with it's 1st win of the season on Saturday night. That was the War Hawks 1st game at home in 2012, and now they are headed back out on the road.

Their trip to Panhandle State is the 1st of 4 straight on the road.

"It doesn't bother me because we have such a young team. We travel about 25-30 Freshman, so this is a transition period and that's kind of part of the transition period too is teaching them how to play on the road, and  I don't think there is anything wrong with it. At least its not a schedule where we only play like two or three home games. We have five at home and we played across town against ACU. It's not ideal, but its OK, and we are going to learn a lot about our freshman, and our young guys." Says Head Coach Hal Mumme.

The War Hawks and Panhandle State are set to meet on Saturday afternoon. They play in Goodwell, Oklahoma at 2pm.
