From a parent who wont give up on her child's education to a hotel full of creatures from your worst nightmare, there's something for everyone this weekend at the box office.
"Wont Back Down" (PG) tells the story of two determined mothers, one a teacher, who set out to transform their children's failing inner city school. Facing a powerful and entrenched bureaucracy, they risk everything to make a difference in the education and future of their children.
"Hotel Transylvania" (PG) takes place at Dracula's lavish five-stake resort, where monsters and their families can live it up, free to be the monsters they are without humans to bother them. On one special weekend, Dracula has invited some of his best friends - Frankenstein and his wife, the Mummy, the Invisible Man, the Werewolf family, and more - to celebrate his beloved daughter Mavis's 118th birthday. For Drac, catering to all of these legendary monsters is no problem - but everything could change for the overprotective dad when one ordinary guy stumbles on the hotel and takes a shine to Mavis.
"Looper" (R) In 2072, when the mob wants to get rid of someone, the target is sent 30 years into the past, where a hired gun awaits. Someone like Joe, who one day learns the mob wants to 'close the loop' by transporting back Joe's future self.
"End of Watch" (R) Academy Award nominee Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena star in the action thriller, "End of Watch" as young Los Angeles police officers, Taylor and Zavala, as they patrol the city's meanest streets of south Central Los Angeles. The film creates a riveting portrait of the city's most dangerous corners, the cops who risk their lives there every day, and the price they and their families are forced to pay.
