By: Taylor County Sheriff's Office Press Release
Updated: September 27, 2012
Investigators with the Taylor County Sheriff's Office are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect who pointed a handgun at a Tuscola store clerk early Thursday morning.

Sgt. Craig Griffis, of TCSO's Criminal Investigations Division, said the suspect's violent actions and potential for striking again make his apprehension a priority. "Due to the nature of the offense and that the suspect allegedly had a firearm," Sgt. Griffis said, " it intensifies our pursuit of every avenue to identify him, including our seeking the public's help."

The clerk at the Allsups store in Tuscola called sheriff's officers to report that a man threatened him with a gun when  had gone outside to take out the trash.

He told sheriff's officers the man was dressed in black and had a black and white mask, or else had his face painted.

The gunman left without getting any valuables when the clerk convinced him that sheriff's officers were on the way.

Anyone with information regarding this offense is asked to contact the Taylor County Sheriff's Office at 325-674-1300, or via E-Mail: info@taylorcosheriff.com.
