ACU Kicks Off Wellness Week

By: Kristin Anderson
Updated: October 1, 2012
A week devoted to personal wellness started today at Abilene Christian University.

The annual Wellness Week kicked off Monday with the theme "Every Body Matters," giving students tips on achieving wellness for their mind, body and spirit.

The week will include speakers and forums to help encourage healthy habits for the students to carry on into their future.

"I think we all know that  we need to take better care of ourselves, and we need to focus on certain areas of our life. This is just one of those times during the year where we get to remind students, as well as faculty and staff, about that," says Steve Rowlands, ACU's Director of Counseling.

There will be a wellness walk tomorrow on campus from 10:30 to 12:30.
