Abilene Historic Landmark Examined for Repairs after Lightening Strike

The building at the State Supported Living Center was struck by lightning during a mid-September storm, causing large chunks of bricks to come crashing down.
However, the smokestack has been working properly despite the damage.
Engineers began inspecting the damage Tuesday morning to determine what sort of structural repairs are needed.
Administrators say the cost of repairs could become fairly expensive.
