David Robinett talks to Abilene High head coach about his teams victory over San Angelo Central and this week's Crosstown Showdown.

David Robinett said, "Coach Warren, talk about your team's performance in that down pour in San Angelo. You guys still maintained your focus and were able to the win."

Coach Warren says, "Yeah, we did. I was really pleased with how we handled the elements. I thought our guys executed extremely, well in a downpour. You know, getting a big win like that in those kind of conditions was really good."

David Robinett said, "Now it's Cooper/Abilene High week, and this is the week, a lot of people zero in on. Even when the teams aren't all that good. This year the teams are good, again.  Tell me what this week's like, and is it enjoyable at all."

Coach Warren said, "There are certain aspects that are enjoyable. I hope the kids will enjoy it. They are the ones that have created this atmosphere over the year, and it's a big game to our fans. Hopefully, we can enjoy the process leading up to the game and absolutely enjoy getting to play in the game."

David said, "Tell me how tough this game is, and I guess the new element is that it's in the middle of the year."

Coach Warren said, "It's a different feel, David. We've got a lot of football left in district play, and there are no playoff spots on the line or district titles on the line. It's just another game on the schedule, as far as that goes.  The feel there is a little different that it has been in the past."
