Noah Project Honors Violence Victims with Building Dedication

By: Kristin Anderson
Updated: October 2, 2012
Months after moving into their new home, the Noah Project dedicated its building Tuesday morning.

The non-profit decided to use national Domestic Violence Awareness Month to dedicate the new facility to those victims who have died, and those survivors in Taylor County, saying that in light of the new building, it's important to keep the focus on those that the Noah Project is there to serve.

"It's a fabulous facility," states Executive Director Leighann Fry, "and it's incredible what we're able to do for the vicitims. But, we're here because of them. We're here because people needed a hand to move on to a life free of violence."

The non-profit also says that since the opening of their new building, they have seen an increase in the number of victims and that they are glad they have the resources to help them.
