The water level at Lake Fort Phantom did not go up Wednesday, after rainwater runoff continued to raise its level since Monday.

The lake is still 10.1 feet below the spillway, but as area lake levels begin to rise, water restrictions could be eased. .

The city of Abilene is currently in stage three water restrictions, meaning that residents can water their lawns only once each week.

City officials say that could be eased if the level gets to less than 10 feet below the spillway.

The lake has risen more than 3.5 feet, millions of gallons, since last week's heavy rain.
