While investigation continues, friends and family members of the Brownwood woman whose body was found last week gathered to remember her Wednesday.

A memorial service was held Wednesday morning at Riverside Park in Brownwood.

Friends say it was one of Reiter's favorite spots in the area.

Expenses for the ceremony were paid for by the Home Depot--the place Reiter worked at for years.

Several of Reiter's family members flew in from New York to assist and were suprised by all of the community support.

Reiter leaves behind a son and a daughter who both live in Abilene with their father.

Reiter's remains will be shipped to New York.

Her family members say they plan to scatter her ashes among the mountains there.
