ACU Wildcats Take Advantage Of Their Open Saturday

Updated: October 3, 2012
The ACU Wildcats are just a few days from getting back on the field in Lone Star Conference play.

It's been a while since the Wildcats took the field for a game. They played last Thursday in Mississippi where they picked up their 3rd win of the season. That game was the teams 3rd in 12 days, so they crammed a bunch of games into a small window. The rest, since last week, was welcomed and used well.

"The only guys that were were up there on Saturday were the guys getting treatment, and I told the staff 'I don't want to see you up here.' So it really was an off weekend as much as it could be. Sunday we went up and worked, but it was much needed because when you play Saturday night and have to cram a week's worth of work to Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and then get on a bus early Wednesday morning, we were all exhausted. But it was a deal where, lets be real people. Lets be normal people for a day." Said Coach Ken Collums.

The Wildcats return home to face Eastern New Mexico is the opponent in a game that starts at 6 at Shotwell Stadium.
