Anson Tigers Break Into The Harris Rankings At #25

Updated: October 3, 2012
The Anson Tigers continue to impress folks with their red hot start to the 2012 season. Head Coach Keith Woolf's team is 5-0 for the 1st time since the 50's.

The Tigers are rolling as they prepare for their final non-district game on Friday night, and the rest of the state is noticing. They are in this week's Harris Ratings Top 25 at #25 in Class A.

"It's a great thing to be in the Top 25 for the first time in a while, but we haven't focused on it or talked about it with our kids really. It's nice for the town, and it's nice for the fans, but we haven't won any gold balls and we haven't done anything or played any games that mean a whole lot as far as getting us into the playoffs. So we just continue to work and we don't want to revisit where we've been, we want to continue to get better." Says Head Coach Keith Woolf.

Anson looks to go 6-0 on the season on Friday at home against Tahoka. District starts on Oct. 19th.
