"Taken 2" (PG 13) A year after the events in Paris, on a trip to Istanbul, Bryan Mills (Liam Neeson) gets a surprise visit from his daughter, Kim (Maggie Grace), and Ex-Wife, Lenore (Famke Janssen). The happy reunion turns sour when Lenore is taken by family members of the very men Bryan killed in the previous film. With Lenore held hostage and Kim on the run, Mills must utilize all his lethal skills to rescue them and eliminate those seeking revenge against him.
"Frankenweenie" (PG) Tim Burton is at it again in the new black and white cartoon where young, "scientist in training" Victor, mourning the loss of his beloved dog "Sparky" conducts a science experiment to bring him back to life. His experiment goes off without a hitch, unless you count a few unintended, sometimes monstrous, consequences.
"Pitch Perfect" (PG 1) In the new out-loud comedy "Beca" (Anna Kendrick) is that girl who'd rather listen to what's coming out of her headphones than what's coming out of you. Arriving at her new college, she finds herself not right for any clique but is somehow muscled into one she never would have picked on her own. Alongside mean girls, sweet girls and weird girls, whose only common trait is how good they sound when they sing together.
