For "Breast Cancer Awareness Month" one local high school is doing everything they can to reach out to help cancer survivors and they're doing it all through a T-shirt.

"What do high schools do better than selling T-shirts?" prompts Paige Sproles, with the Cooper Booster Club.

Sproles says it was head coach Todd Moebes who first came up with the idea to get his students involved with something beyond themselves.

"We came up with that we needed to do something for our community," Sproles explains, "and he had just recently had his grandmother diagnosed and his wife's grandmother as well, so we thought we would raise money to help support a great cause that has affected so many of us."

Out of their desire to raise money and awareness for breast cancer, came "Coogs for the Cure" and since then, the organization has taken off.

Next Friday, October 12th, Coogs for the Cure along with Hendrick Hospital and The Hope Fund are teaming up for the "PINK out" game where Cooper High takes on Midland. The organization hopes to see the stands completely pink to support their cause.
