Breckenridge Buckaroos from all over are coming home this weekend for the big homecoming game, but that's not the only competition they'll be facing. Storefronts along downtown Breckenridge are decorating their shops to show their team spirit and see who has the most pride in town.
Carla Hill works at Main Street Floral in Breckenridge. She says the festivities haven't been around long.
"Well when I was growing up here we didn't have homecoming very often and in the last probably I would say ten years or so it's gotten really popular and they have it every year. We come out and everybody gets involved in it. We have a parade, the town decorates, it's just a great community thing to show our pride and spirit for the Breckenridge Buckaroos."
Myranda and Crystal from ABC Printing & Office Supply say if there is one thing the community does, it's support the football boys.
"Breckenridge has always been real competitive that's the one thing we have is football, above everything else we've always had football. So no matter how our boys are doing we're always out there supporting our boys. Good and bad if it's cold, if it's warm, we don't care, we're going to be there to support our boys, exactly"
The Breckenridge Buckaroos will play the Eastland Mavericks this Friday at 7:30 at Buckaroo stadium.
