AISD School Board Pulls Sex-Ed From Agenda

By: Katie Thompson
Updated: October 5, 2012
An Abilene ISD Board of Trustees deleted a controversial issue from the agenda for next week.

The vote to approve a Sex-Ed curriculum--used by the district since 2003--was pulled Thursday during a review session.

Some Abilene teachers say not everyone uses the state-approved program because some are against it.

The board has decided to explore the issues at hand and re-vote on the curriculum when that process is done.
