Officials still don't know what caused the fire at a home in Jones County.

Fire crews battled the fire Thursday night at a home at Country Road 486 off FM 707 near Truby, which is just south of Anson.

The home could not be saved, however.

Jones County Officials said Friday that the home has been vacant for sometime and was actually up for sale.
