The Dogs new district consists of old district rivals, Snyder and Sweetwater, but the Steers, Monahans and Midland Greenwood are new to district play for Wylie.
The teams are 20 and 10 combined and the Bulldogs say it's going to be a tough road to the playoffs. For Wylie, it all starts this week.
"Everybody knows these games count, and this is what we've been working on since January. These next five games are the games that put you in position to play in week 11." said Hugh Sandifer
"It's going to be tough, but having the off week really helped. Just having this week in practice to go after it, and showing up ready to play on Friday," said Deandre Key.
"They know the importance of each and every game, but as far as changing the message..every game is a big game for us.All the way back to August 31st. We're not going to make it into anything that's bigger than it already is, and we're just going to take care of business." said Sandifer.
Wylie and Big Spring are the only other unbeaten teams in the district and the meet in Big Spring on Friday night. That game starts at 7:30.
