AISD School Board to Review Sex-Ed Curriculum

By: Katie Thompson
Updated: October 8, 2012
Abilene ISD board members will not vote on  a sexual-education curriculum at Monday night's meeting, but the district says they are working on it.

The item was removed from Monday's school board agenda after the board decided they'd like to learn more about the curriculum.

The district says they will bring this item up again at another meeting.

Superintendent Dr. Heath Burns says in the meantime, he hopes parents take advantage of talking to their kids about the topic.

The board will consider authorizing a trip to China for a school music group.

They will also tackle the district's financial integrity rating system.
