A Lady Jacket and 2 Cowgirls Honored

A Howard Payne Lady Jacket and 2 HSU Cowgirls are honored by the American Southwest Conference in college volleyball.

CO-OFFENSIVE
Leslie Jones, F, Sr., Howard Payne
Howard Payne senior forward Leslie Jones (Mesquite, Texas / North Mesquite HS) had five goals to fuel two conference wins, including a hat trick in a home win over Schreiner. Jones also netted two scores in a 3-0 match with Texas Lutheran. Her play helped the Lady Jackets to their first back-to-back wins of the season.

Katie Kuykendall, MF, Sr., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons senior midfielder Katie Kuykendall (Weatherford, Texas / WHS) had four goals and six assists to fuel a three-win week that kept
the Cowgirls unbeaten in league play. Kuykendall, who takes the league's top weekly offensive award for the second time this season, tied her own program record with five assists in a win over Schreiner. Kuykendall also had a hat trick in that game.

DEFENSIVE
Courtney Cramer, D, Jr., Hardin-Simmons
Hardin-Simmons junior defender Courtney Cramer (Abilene, Texas / Wylie HS) spearheaded a unit that recorded three shutouts in victories against University of Dallas, Schreiner and Texas Lutheran. Cramer, who takes the league's top weekly defensive award for the second time this season, also added three goals and three assists from her center defender position. Cramer and company have allowed just two goals this season and are still unbeaten.
