ATEMS Takes Students to College

By: Kristin Anderson
Updated: October 9, 2012
Some high schoolers got a sneak peek at college life today. ATEMS high school had their annual "ATEMS Goes to College" field trip.

This year, the school sent each grade level to a different school.

Students got to check out McMurry, ACU, Cisco College and Hardin-Simmons.

Teachers say it's a good way to get students thinking about college early, and getting them comfortable and ready for when it comes time to apply to schools.

ATEMS also makes seniors apply to at least three schools before the winter break, saying this trip helps get them ready for applications.
