The HSU Cowboys seem to have found their stride after a rocky start to the 2012 season.

Head coach Jesse Burleson's team opened the 2012 season with 2 straight losses, but since that time, they have run off 3 straight wins. 2 of those wins are in conference play. The offense is averaging 47 points a game, and the defense is allowing just 10 points a game. Things are definitely headed in the right direction.

"We know how competitive and great a lot of the teams are in the ASC and so our goal is to try and keep improving. I'm extremely proud of our guys and what we've done to this point but we are definitely not satisfied and definitely not resting." Says Head Coach Jesse Burleson.

"Coach Burleson and those guys have really done a good job of trying to keep us focused at the task at hand which is one week at a time and not looking ahead to games down the road." Says Logan Turner.

"We've got to keep doing what we have to do. We have to play Cowboy Football. 60 minutes and I believe at the end of the year we can be conference champs if we keep doing what we have to do."  Says Undra Hendrix.

It's Homecoming weekend for the Cowboys. They welcome East Texas Baptist to town on Saturday at 1:30. ETBU is 0-2 in conference play and 1 and 4 overall.
