The stands were full to capacity at Shotwell Stadium, but the cheers and chants weren't for the football team- they were for another star.

"I'm out here to get a closer relationship with God," said Jonathan Castaneda.

"Everyone whether they're catholic or any religion can come together and they can praise," said Andrew Delango.

More than 7,000 students crowded into the stands to sing and celebrate the one thing that unites them; their faith.

Fields of Faith is celebrated all over the US, but the one in Abilene is the largest in the nation.

"It's because students want to come and they want to invite their friends to come because they have a great time while they're here," said Steve Keenum, Dir. of Fellowship of Christian Athletes for the Big Country.

It's a yearly must see for some, but for others like Marquel King its a totally new experience.

"I feel like its just showing God's love and what it really is," said King.

That leap of faith is something Sophomore Chelsey Medina can vouch for as she shared her story to the thousands of students so that maybe just one can be impacted by her story.

"I feel like it's just showing gods love and what it really is," she said.

This might just be the only moment where so many teens leave their cellphones behind.

You see, there's no need for texts or calls, because here there's whole other way to communicate.
