City of Breckenridge Under Boil Water Notice

Citizens of Breckenridge and those obtaining water from the Breckenridge water system are advised to boil water prior to consumption until further notice.

Early in the morning on Thursday, October 11, a 12 foor water main broke, draining all overhead and ground storage tanks before crews could isolate the breaks.

All water for drinking, cooking and ice making should be boiled for two minutes to make certain any harmful substances have been eradicated.
