Abilene may be a small city but it doesn't lack one bit in fun events for the entire family. Starting next week, there's a new website helping to showcase the many things going on around the Key City.

"The energy and enthusiasm that is happening in the Downtown area is quite inspiring," says founder and creator of the Something Abilene website, Adam Zoblotsky. "All you have to do is take a walk down Walnut Street and look at the landmark buildings to kind of see what I'm speaking about."

Over the past few weeks and even into the future, new businesses and restaurants are popping up across the Key City, especially in Downtown Abilene.

"There's this resurgence, if you will, of the downtown area," explains Zoblostky, "and we wanted to kind of encompass that in a website."

The website is called "Something Abilene" and when it launches, will highlight businesses and events unique to the Downtown Abilene area. Zoblostky hopes the website will serve as a central unit for shoppers and visitors in the Key City.
