One man was sent to the hospital Saturday night after a wreck in North Abilene involving several cars.

It happened around 7:30 p.m. on North 1st St. near Briarwood.

Three cars were involved and it all started after a driver heading eastbound lost control of his car and ran into two other cars in oncoming lanes.

The first driver was pulled from his vehicle and transported to the hospital.

Police are investigating this case as reckless driving and charges are pending.

Police do not believe there was alcohol involved and said everyone involved was wearing their seat belts.
