For its fourth year, Studio Z recently hosted three Party In Pink parties throughout the Big Country. The Party In Pink is a global movement where people are invited to support the breast cancer awareness cause while exercising.
With October, being the month of Breast Cancer Awareness, Studio Z made it an effort to to celebrate fitness while promoting a national cause.
"I want fitness to help make people aware," says Studio Z owner Jason Hernandez. "I wanted to give back to organizations, not just locally, but nationally."
Hernandez wrapped up three parties in his Abilene studio, Haskell, and Hamlin. An overall $1,300 was raised for the Susan G. Komen Foundation. Hernandez and several others from Abilene are planning to go to Austin to continue spreading their efforts and participate in the city's Party In Pink party.
"Our customers are just wanting to get involved and give and give," adds Hernandez.
The next step for Studio Z is partnering with the Grace Museum next Friday for a rooftop party.
