This fall will mark the fifth year for the Abilene Preservation League to sponsor the family- friendly Halloween event, "Haunted Abilene."

On October 26 and 27 the Swenson House,= will be transformed into the Dead and Breakfast where guests are welcomed by a Ghostess to the historic home that is not scary for eleven months out of the year.

The house will be filled with characters from the horror movies, along with other nightmarish beings who reside at the Swenson House during the month of October.

Guests will be guided through the house so they can witness the horrific goings-on that occur within it's walls.

Guests will also be welcome to visit the Living Graveyard, the Death Chamber apartment and walk through The Garden of Good & Evil.

There will also be a classic Horror movie at the new, outdoor Theatre Under the Stars.

There will also be a non-threatening children's area featuring games, face painting, a magician and air castle. Hot dogs will be available for purchase beginning at 6:00 p.m. under the new Arbor.

Also, make your reservations now for the Abilene Preservation League's HAUNTED ABILENE TROLLEY TOUR.

The first Trolley leaves at 7:00, next at 7:15 and then every 45 minutes until 10:00. These tickets sell for $12 a seat. A combination house ticket and trolley ticket is $20.00.

A ticket to the house only is $10 per person.
