Record cold temperatures are possible Friday night and early Saturday morning.  The record low in Abilene is 30 degrees, which is what my forecast low is.  The record has been around since 1898, which is 114 years.  In addition, the normal average first Autumn freeze in Abilene is November 12th.  If it freezes tonight or early Saturday morning, that will be 17 days early this year.

The earlier freeze on record in Abilene was on October 18, 1948 so we won't break that record.

Highs on Saturday should be around 57 degrees, highs on Sunday near 65.  Saturday night is another cold night with lows at freezing.

A warming trend continues through the upcoming week, getting back into the mid 70's by Tuesdasy.
