With Halloween being tomorrow, the preparation for trick-or-treating activities are under way.

Candies, chocolates, and an assortment of sweets will be on display for children to grab and collect. Ultimately, the goal is to eat as much candies as possible. Although this is a popular and fun event for many kids, parents should also think twice on the types of candies their kids are consuming and the potential unhealthy aftermath.

Resident dentist, Dr. Christie Leedy of Abilene Dental, arrived the studios Tuesday in a unique, festive get-up. Being the dentist that she is, Dr. Leedy transformed herself as Tooth Fairy Leedy. Alongside several kids, Dr. Leedy gave examples of things to substitute candy with.

One advice she gives is to potentially have small toys instead of candies as a way to compensate yet provide excitement.

"If you are to give sweets, try giving chocolates," suggested Dr. Leedy.
