Buffalo Gap Historic Village Presents Letters Home for Veterans Day

By: BigCountryHomePage.com Staff
Updated: October 31, 2012
History books can only tell us so much about the men and women fighting on the front lines in combat. The Buffalo Gap Historic Village's new exhibit, Letters Home, allows the soldiers from World War I to tell their own stories through their personal letters home to their friends and family.

Read the handwritten letters sitting next to the uniforms and war memorabilia from West Texas soldiers.

Take a moment to write your own letter to a soldier fighting in today's conflicts; the Buffalo Gap Historic Village will mail it for you.

The exhibit opens, Sunday, November 11, at 1 p.m.

For more information, contact the Buffalo Gap Historic Museum at 325-572-3365.
