No Thanksgiving Feast for Veterans

By: Nora Hartfeil
Updated: November 1, 2012
A Thanksgiving holiday tradition is being halted this year.

The Veterans Service Office announced that they will not be hosting their annual Thanksgiving feast at the Abilene Civic Center.

The annual event attracts thousands of people every year to the Civic Center, but the organizers say they made the decision because of a lack of donations to pay for the food.

Also, the supermarket that offered discounted prices in the past has decided not to offer them this year..

Comments

This is the worst and completely why Abilene is failing in social awareness.
