Zoning Change Aids Local Ministry

By: Katie Thompson
Updated: November 1, 2012
A zoning change for one of the oldest buildings in Abilene is helping one family continue their mission to help others.

The founders of Abilene's new diaper bank, Baija's Promise International, will eventually operate inside the North 5 warehouse that used to house the Sun Supply Company.

They plan to use portions of the gigantic warehouse for a ministry, diaper bank, and market store.

The unique building will also become "home" for the Dupnik's and their five children.

Abilene's diaper bank began one year ago, and since that time has distributed over 22,000 diapers.
