3 Cowgirls Named All-District

ABILENE, Texas  - Hardin-Simmons' women's soccer team had three of the 12 players named to the NCAA Division III Capital One/CoSIDA District VIII all-academic team.
 
The district includes all of the teams in California, Colorado, Iowa, Louisiana, Nebraska, Oregon, Texas and Washington and is voted on by the sports information directors in the district.
 
Junior Devon Howard was named as a midfielder with a 4.0 GPA in Accounting and Economics, Katie Kuykendall was named as a forward with a 3.53. GPA in Athletic Training and Caitlin Cramer was named as a defender and has a 4.0 in exercise science.
 
To be nominated you have to play in 50 percent of the games at the position nominated, have at least a 3.30 GPA and be at least a sophomore.
