Eastland County: Metroplex Man Dies in Freightliner Accident

The accident happened just before nine Saturday morning on I-20 in Eastland County.

According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, a Freightliner truck, driven by Samuel Lee Johnson, was traveling eastbound when the vehicle crossed the center median and crashed into a tree.

The truck then continued into a creek and hit another tree, ejecting the driver. Johnson was pronounced dead at the scene.

DPS says the weather was clear at the time of the accident. They continue their investigation.
