Think You Can Survive the Zombie Apocalypse?

Will you survive the zombie apocalypse? How about an emergency situation? Test your survival skills on Saturday, December 1, at the Buffalo Gap Historic Village's SurvivalFest & Zombie Run!

Run on your own, with your family, or as a team as you leave the safety of the Village with the mission of retrieving "anti-virus serum" and returning back to the Village. This 5K race isn't as easy as it sounds: you'll have obstacles and the Undead to outrun!

Not a runner? No worries, we'll have three heats: Buffet Style (family one mile run/walk), Fast Food (5K for athletes), and Finger Food (3 mile fun run). This unique fundraiser combines teamwork with survival preparedness into a community event for everyone!

Working together to keep the Zombies from stealing your "health flags" on your waistband and returning to the safe zone with at least one flag still connected to your waist band earns you the bragging rights and the cool rewards boasting "I Survived;" making it back to safety without your flags; you'll receive rewards stating "Zombie ate my Brains" at Buffalo Gap, Texas.

All participants and spectators relax and enjoy a post-race event, SurvivalFest, with live music, food, and fun for everyone. On site, participants can visit with members of the Red Cross, the State Park, the Fire Departments, and the Air Force on real life survival skills and needs to prepare for any emergency, not just the apocalypse.
