A storm system was gathering strength in the Pacific Northwest Wednesday night, a system that eventually sends a cold front to the Big Country on Sunday.

Until then, the wind machine turns on and stays on through early next week.  Strong and gusty wind from the south Thursday through Saturday, then gusty from the north on Sunday.

The front may also bring storms Sunday with eastern and northern Big Country counties having the best chance at storms.

Temperatures remain in the 80's through Saturday, in the 70's then 60's during the day Sunday, and highs in the 50's Monday.  Lows by Sunday night drop into the 30's.
