HSU's Reyes and Sas Claim AVCA Honors

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.  - Hardin-Simmons' senior outside hitter Madison Reyes has been named to the all-South region team for the second straight year by the American Volleyball Coaches Association.
 
Reyes was named the American Southwest Conference MVP for the second straight year and was named first-team all-ASC for the fourth straight year. She led the ASC with 380 kills and also had 355 digs on the year.
 
Christine Sas was named an honorable mention all-region selection. Sas had 323 kills and 405 digs on the season.
 
The pair helped lead the Cowgirls to a 29-3 record and a third straight ASC title. They have won 25 straight matches heading into the NCAA Tournament, where they play La Verne in the first round on Friday at 7:30 CST.
