ABILENE, Texas  - Junior Julia Holub and freshman Chad Caton will represent the HSU cross country teams at the NCAA South/Southeast Regional on Saturday at the Nash Farm Battlefield in Atlanta.

The men's 8K race will begin at 9 a.m. CST, followed by the women's 6K race at 10 a.m. CST. The race is being hosted by Emory University.

"Both of them have trained hard all year and they both have a chance to run really well," said HSU Head Coach Rodney Smith. "It will be a great experience for both of them to go to Atlanta to represent our university."

Holub and Caton advanced to the regional as individuals with top-14 performances at the American Southwest Conference meet two weeks ago in Clinton, Miss.

Holub placed ninth at the ASC meet and will be running in her third career regional. She placed 63rd as a freshman with a time of 24:30 and last year she placed 49th with a time of 24:53. The 24:30 is her career-best in a 6K-race.

Caton will be making his first trip to regionals after a third-place finish in the ASC meet. He set his personal best with a school-record 26:39 in the ASC meet.
