There has been some change this season in Albany as the Lions dropped from Class A Division I to Division II, but something this 2012 team doesn't want to see change is the excellence that surrounds this program which includes bringing home yet another district title, something they can do Friday night against Hamlin.

"I guess the whole season we've been going from game to game, but out entire goal has been to be District Champs, so we've been really focused on that and working extra hard. Once we get this we can move on to our next goal in playoffs, but this is what we've all been working hard for." Says Senior Samuel Raymond

"When you start your football season, you always sit down with them and set goals and one of your goals is to be a District Champion. We have that opportunity this week so we are going to do all that we can." adds Head Coach Denney Faith.

"I think a lot of it is to just get our priorities right and just get focused in because it's a big tradition in Albany to bring home to district championship, and I remember every year Albany bringing home to district championship and I really want to carry on that tradition." says Senior Ryan Pleasant.

Again that game happening Friday night at Lions Stadium against the Hamlin Pied Pipers. Both teams are currently undefeated in district.
