Friday's loss at Gatesville was no doubt a tough one for the Brownwood Lions. There is still plenty to play for in week 10, and beyond.

"It was a hard weekend to get back up again, but we've had to talk to the kids today about doing just that. We've already got our playoff spot set-up and everything. It's just a matter of going into the playoffs with some momentum," said head coach Bob Shipley.

"Gatesville is a really good team, and I'm not sure we came full ready to play with them Friday night. They're a good enough team that they can get you in a lot of spots. it really was a tough loss, and I wish it would have went better but it didn't. Everything happens for a reason, and we're moving onto next week," said Jace Newman.

"We've got to get back on the winning path, and get ready to play a really tough Llano team. They haven't won a lot of games in district, but they've been playing everybody really tough. So, there's nothing they would like more than to upset you, end their football season on a high note, and send us into the playoffs with a loss," said Shipley.

The Lions could still share a piece of the district title, but they need a little help from Liberty Hill. At the same time, the Brownwood Lions still need to take care of business against Llano Friday night."
