Sophomore Quarterback Kaegan Jeffrey is big reason the Mustangs are even in the playoff hunt.
Jeffrey has thrown for almost 2,000 yards and 18 touchdowns this season, and his coach says he's getting better and better.
"He's come a long, long ways. When he sits back in the pocket, he's comfortable, he's getting the protection. He throws a great football," said head coach Shane Mobley.
"A lot of pressure is put on you at times, and I lean on the seniors to help me go though everything. For us sophomores out here I think it's going to be huge when we're seniors. We'll know more about it and be ready to go," said Kaegen Jeffery.
"The big thing about it is, if you look at it, a couple of the receivers he's throwing to are also sophomores. And Caleb Hoover is a junior. He's been a good target. So, there's a lot of growing to do as a team," said Mobley."
Sweetwater and Wylie get together on Friday night. The Mustangs need a win to stay in the playoff hunt.
