The students and teachers at Bassetti Elementary school celebrated Veteran's Day Friday morning.

They had a Veteran's Day parade through the hallways of the southwest Abilene elementary school.

There are a lot of military service members and veterans who live in the neighborhoods that Bassetti serves.

The patriotic demonstration reminded all of the students of the work of the military service members in the service of the country.

The students and teachers at Abilene's Madison Middle School also marked the holiday.

The band played patriotic songs and members of the junior ROTC at Madison marched in uniform to honor the veterans.
