Although it's in it's primitive stages, the vision has been created in what used to be a part of Franklin Middle School.
"This used to be the old wood shop and this will become the games room," says Mark Young, director of Abilene Boys and Girls Club.
Like their other clubhouses, the selection of games will be endless.
"This whole area will be for homework help, tutoring, anything education based," he explains.
Books will fill the walls and studious children the chairs.
"We'll be able to have 40 computers in here versus the 10 that we have at our other clubs," says Young.
The hope is the upgrade of the computer room, up-sizes the learning.
But the fun can't be forgotten.
The new gymnasium is already in full use and has one thing going for it that no other Abilene clubhouse has: air conditioning.
The only thing it's lacking..
Come June 1st these walls will also have life.
