The main story to talk about today is the cold. The cold front passed through our area early yesterday which brought temperatures down a bit, however today they will be even cooler with the high temperature only getting into the mid 50's under big country blue skies.

Tonight we may see the first soft freeze here in Abilene with temperatures likely to dip below freezing for the first time for a couple hours. Skies will remain mostly clear.

Tomorrow will be a bit warmer than today with temperatures getting into the 60's again.

Tomorrow night will be another cool one with the potential to see some freezing temperatures across the area.

Wednesday temperatures will begin to get closer to normal with them approaching the mid 60's under clear skies.

A gradual warming trend will continue through the week with temperatures returning to normals, near 70, by the weekend with no rain in the foreseeable future.
