During the regular season the Bulldogs were able to rack up ten wins, five of them in district. You add that together and you'll get an undefeated district champion.
They locked up at least a share of the title a couple weeks ago, but a win over Sweetwater Friday night gave them the out-right crown.
That's something head coach Hugh Sandifer and his team are pretty proud off to say the least.
"It says a lot about our team, and they've played all year. Obviously, winning every non-district game, and then turning around and going undefeated in district. We're very proud of how our team played for those ten games," said Sandifer.
"It's really cool to win a district championship your senior year. Especially to go undefeated; it's really hard to get one of those. It was really hard fought," said Steven Greene.
"It's also a little different, I think, because of the number of players we've had out during the season due to injuries. Then the guys that stepped up. So, it's been a total team effort in order to win this district championship and put ourselves inthe postseason," said Sandifer.
This Friday night the Bulldogs will get a chance to extend their season against Clint Moutain View at Ratliff Stadium in Odessa.
